Hi Mattia,

You sound very good and I like the way you are blending the jazzier style chords with the more modern style blues playing. That works very well!

Thanks,

Duke

Sorry guys for writing in Italian but once upon a time, when I find somebody coming from my country, it's nice to talk in our language of origin and well Italian is a nice language to learn too...as we had to learn English!!! :DD

Thanks for the quick reply!  Yeah that makes sense.  I'm also thinking that a shortened version of it would work on the second measure of a 12 bar slow blues that has a quick change to the four.

It's a great lick, and this series of lessons on this song is super.  (As are all of the lessons here.)

StevieBoy, I use it very often but only in places that have a touch of swing or jump blues in them. It would sound out of place on a.Chicago blues or a Jimmy Reed song. The idea is to learn and experiment with where it can sound good. So good Lu k with it and let me know how you make out with it. Duke

Very cool!

You say that four lick, which is really sweet, is one of your favorites, Duke.  Do you use it much when there isn't a minor built into the second measure of the four, say on a regular 12 bar progression?

I'm going to give it a shot, maybe get some funny looks down at the blues jam!  Just wondering what your thoughts are.
