This verse takes one riff or idea, through the first EIGHT bars. In the interest of "conversationalizing" the piece, those EIGHT bars contain little variations on the riff and a chord change, but essentially the verse is about continuity and building excitement. On the V, you get another shot at "owning" that third hole draw bend.
