First Position Abberition

7th Verse Breakdown

Hey Sonic Junction -

This week we finish this series with the seventh and final verse of First Position Abberition. We’re wrapping up the song and giving it continuity by using a figure that references the head. The main difference between the way this verse kicks off, and the head, is that we alter the phrasing and begin on the second beat. We’re creating the feel of dropping back and going for maximum coolness. I hope you’ve enjoyed this series. Of all the pieces I’ve created for Sonic Junction, this one rates as one of my personal favorites. I feel it expands the typical first position “box” while still maintaining complete respect for the the tradition.

Stay safe and healthy, and I’ll see you next time.

Rick
