First Position Abberition

5th Verse Breakdown, Part 2

Hey Sonic Junction!

I’m back, and this time I’ll be breaking down the second half of verse five in this piece I’m calling “First Position Abberition”. The licks contained in this week’s lesson, are on the surface, fairly simple. The weight of these phrases can be discovered in the execution. Tone, texture and timing should work in concert to convey wholly unambiguous intention. The tone is aggressive - the texture is dirty, and the time is just slightly elastic. When applied with the right feel, these things should work together to give this statement the overall effect of maximum emotional importance - and that’s what we’re going for.

Have fun, stay safe, and I’ll see you next week.

Rick
