Hey - Rick Estrin here - In this first lesson on the piece called "Half Steppin" the focus is primarily on the bends in the three hole draw. Sometimes hearing and nailing those bent pitches with control, accuracy and a good sound, tone-wise can be a little challenging - for me too! But, if you really want to play some good sounding blues harmonica, accurate bends and the ability to execute them with conviction are key ingredients. The other part of this lesson involves keeping these little "stabbing" three draw pitches in the pocket by alternating a simple, easy, chording rhythm. Give it a listen and you'll see what I mean - Have fun with it and remember to feel that groove!
