Shenandoah > Chords and Rhythm

Good Day My Fine Friends! Here we are with another sea shanty and, in my humble opinion, you really can’t have too many of these up your sleeve. Unlike Cape Cod Girls and Pay Me My Money Down, Shenandoah isn’t really a muscle song. To me it’s a different, more flowing kind of energy. In this lesson we’ll nail down the chord progression - it’s in the key of C and in addition to the 1, 4, and 5 chords (C, F, and G) we’ve got the Em and Am. You’ll see what I mean about flowing, this one just feels natural at every turn. We’ll also look at some super satisfying hammer-ons and talk about singing. If you’ve been with me for awhile here you’ve learned a wide range of songs in the social music bag.

Let me know what’s working for you and what’s not, I’m here to serve!
