Hi Friends,
This week we are working on chords and using chords and double stops for accompanying a soloist or playing a chord solo on a jazzy blues. Many forms I use can be used either in a solo or for punctuating rhythm so we start with a chorus in which the inversions I play can work for either.

Great lesson, Duke. I love this sort of playing. It doesn't come easy to me but bit-by-bit I improve.
My wife and I have COVID now---after all this time, all the shots and booster, I thought we would avoid it but nope---so I sleep 12 hours a day and play guitar the rest of it.

Would love more advanced or intermediate finger style blues a la Johnny Shines/ Robert Johnson.Not slide per se (Corey's great too by the way).- was thinking more like "Cool Driver" or anything really from "back to the country", "too wet to plow" or "traditional delta blues" - or how about some Lightnin' Hopkins?
Along another line of thought that I hope you might dig (some "roads less traveled" Alternately, would love to learn some more body like John Lee Hooker or even better RL Burnside... That would be simply amazing

Hi Duke, you have such an incredible catalog to draw from I hardly know where to begin! From your Wobble Walkin' album, wish list items include: Wobble Walkin', You'd Be So Nice to Come Home To, and Sunday Mornin. From your Swing album, my first pick would be What's Your Story, Morning Glory. I honestly love Jim Jam from this record as well, but it's easy enough to figure out the head on that one (albeit hard as hell to play at that tempo!), I just can't bring up that album without calling out that track! I could literally name 30 more tunes from your catalog alone, but I'll stop there :).
