Getting Out of Town

Performance

We're re-issuing one of Rick's most popular lessons with re-mastered video and updated loop points. From Rick:

Hi - I'm Rick Estrin.  The song we're going to be working on is the Rice Miller (Sonny Boy Williamson II) piece "Getting Out Of Town". It's based on a European recording of that song from the mid-1960s and is very loosely interpreted by me. It's also similar to several of Sonny Boys' different solo, European versions of "Bye Bye Bird".

The main point of these lessons is to help you develop your internal groove and also to get you thinking about and employing more dynamics in your playing. It'll also give you a piece of music you can play and with practice, perform without a band.

Rick

Hey, students! Hey, Rick! Hello from Belarus.
2 years ago I've seen perfomance from Rick and other masters on St-Petersburg MOSTY Fest. (2019) It was a blast . Then I've found Sonic Junction. And this was first song I've learned . Yet it needed some work. But I like this thing and the groove, and to perform it.
Thank you Rick for all this;)

And this my russiantext version)

P.S. ( ХАТА - (hata) - country house on belarus language. Actually it was juke joint meeting in one country side place last weekend.(aug2021)
