Hey, students! Hey, Rick! Hello from Belarus. 2 years ago I've seen perfomance from Rick and other masters on St-Petersburg MOSTY Fest. (2019) It was a blast . Then I've found Sonic Junction. And this was first song I've learned . Yet it needed some work. But I like this thing and the groove, and to perform it. Thank you Rick for all this;)

Thank you, Nick! The Parachute jump is the good example ! Perfomances are realy like that for me.( though I never tryed the parashute jumps) I like jams and when got the opportunity try do not miss it. There are were so many of them in Moscow before I have to go from there in my native town in Belarus before summer. And here not so much oportunities but... recently I performedmy own looping short program on dancing party. So it was like MANY parashute jumps at once - when you and only deside rithm, garmony, vocal and harp solo. It was COOL! Whant more! BUT So.. it seems the perfomances and live jams got a breake for a while because of you know what(( BUT we have so many time to improve ourselfs by learning from the BEST masters and training to perform at list on video!!!
Wish you all the good and a lot of health! New music projects and new concerts! Thank you a lot for your lessons! They are great! Also as your student my congrats and thanks and regards to you in World Teachers' Day (5th october) !! So you as it right on enlish 'inborn teacher ;) !!!

Hello Rick and Hi to everybody! Very cool Mambo groove! I have been working on the lessons hard and honestly I so much in love with salsa NY as a dancer (it's modern Mambo dance style) that those latin themes realy hooked me. And at last here is my version. Sorry for some renaming of my loop cover of this Mr. Lee Mambo , and a little bit of politic matters and joke in video. But I could not help myself. I asked Rick about this matter. Thank you Rick a lot for this mambo lessons! Will be glad to your technical comments for improvements;) And the opinions of others !

P.S. The bass line (and the guy) in backing track is very cool and artful! But it is realy missing one verse;) as Andre mention below.
Your 3 hole inhale bends are right on and you understand the difference in that hole between a I chord and a IV chord. Also, that early on V chord idea on the lower end was right on as well. I call that "Fearless Playing". Good job.

Thank you man, it's so plesant to hear. And inspiring too) Soon I hope to make some lesson and video and join the students. At now here in Belarus many meanest things going on and it takes nerves and thoughts. But music does cure.
By the way I can advise you as from my own experianse (I'm not proffesional yet but maybe some day..) that moving (rocking) when you play can be fixed by playing with microfone (vocal) stand or when you sitting on something. It helped me not to rock and move very much. Maybe Dennis can give some precious advice how to move on stage and how to deal with it.
Very cool sound! Nice new mic;) Resently I got a new mic too). I do not play a chromatic, but got to try some day, looking at your succes. And I like you got a thrill when you play. I often can't manage to calm down with this and moving my body more than necessary :(

I enjoyed the tracking of your rhythm harmonica looping behind your performance. That's the idea that most excellent blues harmonica players (like, um, well, like, uh, I know - RICK ESTRIN) do internally without a digital looping device. They have that rhythm track running in their mind while they sing or solo, sometimes switching and quietly playing that back up groove during pauses in the vocals or soloing. Harmonica = miracle instrument combining rhythm guitar AND lead guitar when approached from this angle.

Hello guys! Hello Rick! I think it's time to make the first student result video for this Blue Strolllin' lessons at last. Resently got a looper pedal, so it's the first loop thing I recorded. It's nice strolling thing and easy lisening and I think it is kind different from 'So Long'. Not only by tempo. (+2 additional section) but other aspects too. Thank you Rick for lesson. I tryed hard to be close to the original ) Would be glad to hear from you how far am I;) Come on guys, make your videos. It's cool Blue strollin' thing!
Great job of learning the song Kosta! Excellent. There're only two suggestions that came to mind as I was listening. Try relaxing a little more. Rhythmically it feels a little stiff. If you could relax into the groove more, it would improve the overall effect. The other thing I would ask you to do is to go back and listen to the way I use small bends to swoop and shape when drawing on the 3rd hole. Overall though, you're doing great! I'm impressed!

1) The only method I know for dealing with nerves is to practice. When I know for sure that I'm thoroughly prepared, I'm not as nervous.
2) The "swoops" and "scoops" and "shaping" I'm talking about inthis case, mainly have to do with the 3 hole, draw and the way I use the bends on that hole. You have a really good ear - Go back and listen. Pay close attention to the way I'm using those bends.
Again, great job overall, AND, great job singing the bass line!

And for not english speakers\listeners, often very hard to catch the meaning of blues songs, or convey it. So , I did the russian translation of the Nine below zero. And tried to tell this story to moscow blues dance audience on the dance party. So here it is.. My debute of "Minus 30"
