God Don't Never Change > B Section & Slide Nuances

In this third lesson I show you some more nuances that you can add to your slide playing. This is a simple song but don't let that fool you! Take your time and learn how to play it simply but add some flavor by using the techniques here. Most importantly, make sure that you are not applying too much pressure to the strings. Brush the strings instead of digging in. Good luck!

@Mike...your tone on the slide is very nice here and your bass work is solid.  Two things: 1) your bass rhythm seems a little off.  Try starting the melody on the 'one' beat and slow down what you are doing and make it more simple until you get the rhythm down.  2) To me what you are playing sound more major than dominant.  Check the notes you are playing with your slide because I am hearing something that sounds too major to my ear...it might just be one note that should bve a half step lower.  Check for it and see what you find out.  Nice to see you have the bass and the melody working together nicely tho.  That is the hardest part....

Hi Corey --- great tune!  I'm working on getting the melody down with the thumb.

It's still a bit rough --- but I have the two together.  This lesson really speaks to me because I think I need to work on brushing the bass and the slide nuances --- what do you think?  Thanks for the great lesson.
