Pony Blues > Intro

In this lesson we will learn the intro to the tune as I play it. I want to wait until next week to start working with the slide so that we can build a strong foundation before we try and add to the structure. I encourage you to check out the Son House and Charlie Patton version (and others) of the tune so you can see how YOU want to approach it. Happy playing!

Hi

What kind of slide are you using here ?

Thanks for all the fantastic lessons and please come back for another concert in Austria.

I missed the one you were giving a couple of months ago and I am dying to see you in action

Thanks...no Austria invitations as yet but looking forward to the next time.  The slide is not sold in stores...some one gave it to me years ago.  It is made out of old brass piping found in demolished houses that was cut and formed at a machine shop.  Maybe that is something you can try where you are if you are interested.  Otherwise there are many different slide makers...just keep looking until you find one to buy if you are not able to make your own.
