Two for One > First Verse Breakdown

Hello Harpsters!

Dennis Gruenling here to start taking apart my Two For One chromatic song. Starting right out the gate with some high draw octaves here, and the great thing to remember with this octave technique is that ALL of the octaves (blow and draw) all the way up and down the harp are done the exact same way. The same embouchure is used, where we will be blocking 3 holes in the middle and playing the 2 outside holes on either side of our tongue. It may seem intimidating at first, but once you get the correct shape for your mouth, you will be good to go - have at it!

- Dennis

Mr. Dennis which is more dificult to play the blues: diatonic or chromatic?

I would say blues chromatic is more difficult. They are very different however, but I think for most players, unless you already are familiar with the chromatic, the chromatic is more difficult.
