Duke Robillard Lesson >

Muddy Waters Basics > 2nd Guitar Part - Riffs, Fills and Chords

Hello Friends,

This week we are working on second guitar parts for Hootchie Cootchie Man. I demonstrate what a second guitar may play for parts to go along with the original bassline guitar part. I show several options that work with the original guitar part to make it sound authentic and in the correct style, adding fills and double stops to keep within the traditional vibe of the song.

Next lesson we start working on ideas for soloing on it. Keep practicing, playing and send us some videos.

Enjoy!

Duke

Thanks Peter, Yes it's like anything in music. If you listen to and learn a bunch of songs in a simular style it all starts coming together and making more sense. That my friend is what you call progress!

Duke, brilliant lesson.  This is exactly what I want to learn.  All the little things I'm hearing but can't visualize on the guitar.  I am dedicated to the Chicago Blues vibe!
