In this first lesson we will concentrate on learning the tuning known as Vastapol (open D), Once we are tuned up, we can focus on learning the main riff. Remember to keep it extra simple, yet pay close attention to details. Above all make sure that you are playing in time. If you have any trouble with this, you might consider playing along with a metronome. The goal is to be able to tap your foot while you play to keep time, consistently and without speeding up. Make sure that you spend a lot of time playing the riff and getting comfortable with it. Enjoy!
