Don't Ever Be Blue > Bridge Breakdown

Hi there Sonic folks!

This is the thrid lesson featuring the original tune, "Don't Ever Be Blue", from my album, "My Gift To You". This week we go over the bridge of the song.

This lesson here's what to focus on...

Again...right hand and vocal melody

Learn the melody.

Learn to sing it.

Learn to play it.

Add the harmony below the melody.

Sing and play all of it to become familiar with all parts.

I also slipped in a variation. This variation all groove (feeling) should not be unfamiliar with you if you've studied my past lessons.

It's the one to the four groove groove. Which is really playing the, "one and the four of the one". In my eyes it lends your music that extra little ounce of soulfulness.

Practice, experiment, use metronome!

Again, always start slowly!

Questions...just hit me up!

Davell, I'm missing a couple of lessons, and wonder if you could send them again.

First lesson of Baby Please Be True (Left Hand Rhythm and Turnaround) - should be around 2/12

Second lesson of Love You So Badly (Right Hand) - around 4/22

Second lesson of Careless Love (Right Hand Breakdown - 7/1 or 2

I am loving the lessons. They're so clear, so beautifully presented. Thank you so much.
