@ Corey ... here's my last video ... I've tried also to sing ... It made me smile too :)))

What is difficult for me with this tune is that accent on the E Chord.

@Alex...It sounds to me like you have got it. Good rhythm and tempo. The only thing that I would say to change would be to play the bass strings with a lighter touch. Try brushing the strings with your thumb rather than picking them or slapping them. Of course you can always use an occasional slap or string snap to make the song more dynamic but to do it too much is a little hard on the ears. Good to hear you singing. I would suggest you keep singing until it gets comfortable to you. You might have to change the vocal line over time to make it easier for you. Listen to all the version of the song and then decide what you like best and what fits best with your voice. Good luck.

Corey,

Any tips for gaining indpendence to pick the higher strings?

I'm feeling the bass, but having a little trouble jumping to attack the higher strings while keeping the thump steady.

Thanks.

@ Matt ... the way I do it is sing the the part played on the higher strings to get it in my mind first. Imagine it first before you do it, then slow the bass part way down (keep it in time though) and try to incorporate the higher string/melody part bit by bit.

Also, I listen to any song I want to learn for several days or more before I even try to play it. Got to have it in your mind first! Hope this helps.
