This week we have a track to play to and solo over. We also have Brad and I doing the melody over and over that you can play along with to get in the groove with. So get the melody down then let's see what you can do with the solo.
Please post videos so I can see your progress!

Woo! That was a lot of soloing. Hard to keep coming up with fresh ideas. But liked where I got to... eventually
P.S. Happy 70th Duke!
Good work Peter, you got the idea just a little behind but keep it up you are soloing well! It's just the melody start a bit late. Great job! Dyke
Hey Duke! I had a lot of fun with this one, as you promised. This one passed the wife seal of approval (i.e. she stopped by the guitar room and remarked that it was sounding really good), so here's hoping you like it too. Congrats on that new '48 Epi! Best, Bruce
Hey Bruce, Sounds really good, I agree! I'm glad you're having fun with it. I love playing it! In fact going to a gig soon and I'll play it tonight. Like the Take the A train quote!
Thanks a lot, Duke!!! Have a great gig!
Thanks so much Duke! Here's my attempt - forgive the obvious mistakes, I gave you the first cut as otherwise I'd spend all day trying to get perfect (and never get there : )
Thanks for challenging and enabling me to step outside my comfort zone (aka the petatonic scale ; )
Thanks Charlie for holding you guitar so I could better see what you were doing, I like your approach. Thanks Duke for this lesson and your Bass player too.
Thanks Midnite Mike : )
Really nice Charlie! I didn't hear one mistake! And really good improvising. Loved some of those double stops. In impressed! Duke
: ) Thanks Duke
