Hi Folks,

We have a really cool song to start on this week. One of the most historical blues stories ever but we are taking the instrumental jump blues approach this time to Frankie and Johnny. In particular, the Duke version via Tiny Grimes. Its a real fun song and as usual we start off with the rhythm. This time we are using the real shuffle rhythm that's d one on piano but is also a great rhythm guitar style. This weeks lesson is on the real shuffle rhythm. Get in the groove with it and next week we'll learn the melody.
