Grab your Bb harp start working on more split intervals and octaves this week, now including some higher draw octaves where we will be blocking 3 holes with our tongue! But have no fear, it’s easier than it sounds, and it sounds amazing! This is one of my favorite techniques on the harp, and I hope you enjoy using these great sounds in this song.

Hi Dennis,
Many thanks for another great lesson. Is it my imagination or are you putting the harp deeper in your mouth to get the larger 5 hole octave?
Also is there a backing track for this lesson ?

The harp does not necessarily have to be much further in your mouth to do this, but you do need to develop the correct shape and perhaps widen your lips more than usual to get this technique correct.
