I hope your year is winding down nicely and you’re enjoying the last couple of weeks in the company of friends and family. In the spirit of the season, this week we’re going to look at the classic Christmas tune, What Child Is This (a.k.a. Greensleeves). What Child is This is in 3/4 time and is mostly in E minor. In addition to having beautiful chords and melody it gives us an opportunity to apply the technique of simultaneous chords and melody that we’ve studied on a song like Wildwood Flower to a slightly more complex tune.
