Hi Folks,
This week we are finishing up "Confessin." We work on the last A section of the solo with a bit simpler lines and more variations of the style we have been working on. Now after the solo the bass takse two A sections and I come back at the bridge and play the melody for the first half the improvise the last half. Let me point out it's perfectly fine to just play the melody on the second half of the bridge which I probably should have done. Then we're back to the melody for the last A with the retard and cadenza at the end.
