Take Me Back > Lesson 2

In this lesson I slow down the song so you can hear more of what is going on. I also play the bass for a few measures so that you can play along with me. We will get to the singing later. For now just work on getting the melody and bass working together. Please give me a holler if there are any questions. Thanks!

@corey..thanks!!!I've started tryin to brush the strings with the thumb but at the moment I'm a little bit in trouble! :D..Anyway this is a very important teaching..when I got it, I will have another more option in my "sound suitcase"..I'm startin again to try do something with the pick...It's just to have another meter of paragon, we say in Italian...I'm realizing  how important is to explore many different places, take the good things with you and put them together to build your own house! :D

In the post of the first lesson I expressed bad myself, sorry!....I meant Lonnie Johnson and Django Reinhardt...I'm studying "Woke up with the blues in my fingers" and it seemed to me that there were some things in common...:)

@Alex...I think you got it.  It sounds good to me.  I like your alternating picking too...I think you are very critical of yourself, which is good.  You will always get better that way.  The only thing I would say would be to try and bush the bass strings with your thumb more, rather than picking them.  Use a lighter touch...good work and thanks as always for posting.

@Corey...I'm tryin it slower...I still have problem with alternate picking mostly when I go to G, I think..I'm separating the tune and at the end I put all the pieces together...It works well with me. I am also used to pick with the beginning part of the thum...There is where I have my callus :D..I'll try the other way step by step :)
