In this last lesson on Guitar Rag, I go back over each of the sections at a slower tempo. I talk about different ways to end the tune. I play the song at tempo to let you know how I do it. Good luck.

Wow thanks for the comploment Corey. I make a shorter version for the video because i didn't want it too long. i'll try to finsih the minor part later.

Your right for the diminushed chord. It's easier to play it without the thumb behind the neck. Maybe i should use a classical fingering for the F and the F#°, it would be cleaner. I wanted to play it with the thumb over the neck but that's not clean.

I was a pretty hard to myself cause i make a lot of takes for this result. That's was the first time i've recorded this song so i tried to be the most critical as possible. But i'm very happy with my version and play the song everyday :)

Posting a public video (who will be watch by you Corey) makes me more demanding with my work ;) But it force me to play better :) !

Thanks a lot

JD

@JDY...I think you have a good feel for the song.  Your picking is at a good rhythm and it is accurate.  I think you could play the song a little bit slower and paymore attention to the bass when you play the diminished chord...I didn't hear that bass note as clearly as the others.  I don't hear too much bass as you mentioned.  It sounds good.  I would only say that you should take the time to learn the whole song, witht he sections in the proper order.  This will help you when you play the song with someone else and you don't have to change what you have learned to play it the correct way with someone else...you will both be playing the same song.  Take your time and be kind to yourself as you learn the song.  Take it slow.  Thanks for posting.

I coudn't imagine being so nervous to record and send you my video ! I make ten attempt i think ! I've haven't work the minor part, it's mostly improvised I like her less and don't play it when i play the tune usually (i know it's bad to do that). I think the big thing is we don't liten clearly to the afterbeat (2 and 4) and there's too much bass on the one...

The other thing is i think i play it too fast for my level...

That's all thanks for listening :)

cheers

JD

Hi Corey .. I'm loving this tune.  It's going to be a keeper for me.  I like the turnaround and how it goes from major to minor.  Here's where I am.

@Roger...thanks for posting.  I see you are getting there.  You need to check out the form of the tune, which doesn't change.  There are four sections of the song, each separated by a turn-around.  Also pay close attention to the melody of the tune and try and copy that as best you can.  Finally, check the chords on the turn-around.  Seems like the second chord of the turn-around is not what I was playing.  You have a nice, light touch on the guitar and it sounds good, though.  Keep working on it.

Corey,

Here's where I am so far on this tune. I am having trouble with the walkup bass from F to F# to G so I am still working on that but left the bass notes out on this. I'll post another video when I have worked on the walkup. Love this tune. Thanks.
